Geoff Moore jumps ship to West Nautical

Formerly with Royale Oceanic, Geoff Moore has joined the small team at West Nautical in their rebranding exercise in an effort to engage more with the superyacht industry.…

Recently joining West Nautical at the beginning of the month, Geoff Moore has taken on the role of managing director and will be responsible for the company’s growth and development in the yacht and project management field. Speaking from the company office in the south of France, Moore spoke exclusively to  SuperyachtNews.com about his excitement in joining a rapidly expanding company where the future is very bright.

Whilst established for over 20 years, the superyacht branch is still in its infancy, as the team have predominantly worked in the sub 40m sector focusing on new build distribution with rights for SanLorenzo, Fairline and Mulder in various countries. Having recently gone through a rebranding exercise and engaging in superyacht brokerage and sales, the group would like to change the face of the group for the future.

Founder and CEO, Andrey Lomakin commented, “We are delighted that Geoff has joined our team and will be heading up all of the operational, project and charter management sectors, leading the team to ensure we offer best in class services to our clients, and deliver customer satisfaction at excellent value."

Heading up their first UK office in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, Moore commented "this represents a major investment for the company and it shows our commitment to ensuring we provide a superb service and exceptional value to our clients, whilst contributing to the local economy and boosting the superyacht society in the region.”

After reaching capacity at Royale Oceanic, Moore was eager to take on new challenges. He has joined the company shortly after the appointment of a new  Brokerage Director and new Sales Director, Murat Urusov. Formerly with Bentley Russia as head of sales and strategic marketing, Urusov is looking forward to adapting his skills to the yachting sector where his new responsibilities will include strategy development, building a sales system, as well as the formation of business processes within the company.

With four offices in the group, West Nautical hope to grow organically in the coming years. "We have several yachts in build and under management already, as well as holding the central agency listings for various charters" Moore concludes.
