115m Estatement
CHINA, Hong Kong. Pryde, formally known as CIMC Raffles Yacht, has announced it will present a model of its 88.8m Illusion and a new 115m concept called Estatement, designed by Sinot Yacht Design, at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show in September. Both designs fall within its range of 80-120m.
“Pryde’s philosophy can be characterised by its professionalism, its perfectionist approach and superb craftsmanship,” explains shipyard director, Itay Simhony. “This is encapsulated by the spirit of ‘the unlimited’: endless possibilities in the development, creation and marketing of 80-120m superyachts.”

Due for delivery in early 2015, Illusion will be the first to come from the shipyard based in China’s Yantai Peninsula, and the first example of its craftsmanship for the yachting community. The interior, designed by Sinot Yacht Design, will feature state-of-the-art equipment — the majority of which has been supplied by Rolls-Royce — rare woods, stone and metallic finishes. Rainsford Mann Design created a sleek and elegant exterior inspired by Rolls-Royce that matches the luxurious look of the interior.Illusion: owners suite

“Illusion is the result of close cooperation between experts from Europe, the US., Australia, New Zealand and Asia,” says Simhony. “We developed this yacht with world-class consultants and designers, paying meticulous attention to Pryde’s exacting standards. The result is a yacht that meets European standards, while maintaining competitive prices.”

“Many people do not immediately associate China with quality and certainly not with the quality that we are used to in this sector,” adds Jan Jaap Minnema of Fraser Yachts, which has been appointed as central agent for its sale. “That makes Pryde’s achievement all the more interesting for the sector. It is a pioneering venture."
