Porto Montenegro first to supply GO² fuel at dock

The nanotechnology-based diesel fuel additive will be offered for the first time at fuel dock, at Porto Montenegro. The deal is expected to be the first in a line of supply agreements.…

Porto Montenegro will be the first marina to sell GO² fuel, an additive that reduces fuel consumption while reducing harmful greenhouse gas emissions, under a new deal signed with GO² Global Yachting.

The agreement also represents the first time the nanotechnology-based diesel fuel additive can be more conveniently offered at the fuel dock at the time of fueling. It is in addition to the current global network system by which fuel is delivered by placing orders by phone.

“We are always interested in finding new ways in which to broaden the range of high quality products and services that we can offer to our customers," commented Kosmas Sakalidis, bunkering operations manager at Porto Montenegro.

"The feedback from Superyacht Captains on GO² has been excellent, so we’re delighted to be able to offer yachts fuelling at our fuel dock the opportunity to take GO² at the same time.”

Richard Franklin, managing director of G0² Global Yachting, said there were “plenty more [agreements] in the pipeline”:

“In response to customer demand we are planning to extend this arrangement to other fuel docks and fuel supply companies in the US, Europe and the Caribbean, in order to provide a network of convenient supply options, in addition to our worldwide dockside delivery service.”

Porto Montenegro was chosen as the ideal start for the fuel dock based network

Franklin explained Porto Montenegro was the obvious choice to launch an expanded network:

“Porto Montenegro is the go to summer destination for a lot of yachts, so from our perspective it is a nice high volume place to be in the Adriatic [for GO²]”

The fuel, which is winner of a DAME award, has numerous benefits to mitigate impact on the environment. It is said to reduce fuel consumption by 8 to 14%, soot by up to 40% and Greenhouse gas emissions by 20 to 40%. One gallon treats 4,000 gallons of diesel fuel.

GO² Global Yachting is a partnership between Cerion Energy and ECOsuperyacht, which handles worldwide sales, marketing and commercial partnerships for the product.
