Ocean Yacht Systems appoints new project manager

Round the world sailor, project manager and yacht skipper Malcolm Lee has joined the project management team at Ocean Yacht Systems (OYS). Lee will be responsible for all new and service rigging projects carried out by OYS.
He previously worked at Tim Haynes Limited, service agents for OYS, as a project manager and consultant to the company. As a result of this, he is well positioned to understand the complete range products and services on offer from OYS, as well as meet the expectations of the customer and end users.
“Having worked alongside OYS for a number of years now, both the customers and the team here have made me feel really welcome,” Lee said. “I am looking forward to being responsible for OYS’s rigging customers and helping to grow this department within the company.”
In addition to competing in the 1989-1990 Whitbread Round the World Race on Rothmans, Lee has managed several refit projects as the owner’s representative and has skippered vessels up to 43m in length. He will be based at the company's headquarters in Christchurch, UK.
