Newly relocated FarSounder announces chart promotion
FarSounder announces the first of its business offers after relocating to Warwick, Rhode Island USA.…
FarSounder has teamed up with charts operator, Jeppesen for promotion of the FarSounder-500 and FarSounder-1000 sonar systems.
FarSounder, the marine electronics manufacturer specializing in underwater acoustics, uses Jeppesen charts as part of their 3D sonar's chart overlay feature. Over the next year, a three month trial of Jeppesen's latest charts for key cruising and transit regions will be available.
"We are excited to be partnering with FarSounder to offer our customers the best in both sonar navigation technology and digital chart data,” said Gunn-Lisbet Opshaug, Jeppesen commercial marketing manager.
The sales offer is the company's first since relocating to Warwick, Rhode Island USA. The new global HQ is expected to provide the basis for consolidation and expansion of its corporate and sales offices, R&D, and manufacturing into one facility. The company's stand-alone building will allow on site incorporation of the acoustic tank testing facility.
“We are excited to move into a facility that supports our plans for the future,” said CEO, Cheryl M. Zimmerman. “This move provides a permanent home, as well as an effective manufacturing environment for our expanding product line.”
The new HQ is also near to international airports and to the Narragansett Bay and Newport Harbour, convenient for international customers and yacht operators to visit for in-water demonstrations, training and meetings.
