Schnaase Interior Design have unveiled images of their new interior for Mystic, a 45-metre steel motoryacht designed by Dutch Diana Yacht Design and built at CMB Yachts in Turkey.

According to Birgit Schnaase of Schnaase Interior Design, the aim was to create an interior that was as new and fresh as the newborn shipyard the vessel was being built at. The result is a concept that leans towards oriental tastes more than to Northern European and Schnaase describes the overall style as “a new interpretation of Art Nouveau.”

The interior is a powerful mix of strong materials. Macassar ebony provides dark trims and skirting boards. Decadence radiates from glass chandeliers, mother of pearl detailing and crystal accessories, as well as more contemporary materials, such as the shimmering Majilite panels covering the walls. Schnaase have kept the colour palette fairly neutral with browns, creams and beiges, but finished with details such as large gold handles, classic Art Nouveau fabric patterns and warm golden Onyx on the floors, mixed with leather and silk.

Mystic will be at Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes this September.
