The evening before the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS), which began on Wednesday 23rd September, saw the presentation of the Monaco Yacht Show Awards during the 2015 MYS Gala inaugural party.
A significant year for the organisers of the yacht show - celebrating its 25th anniversary this year - the judging panel welcomed 20 applicants.
From these a winner was voted for within each of the five categories.
This year's winners are:
The Monaco Award: Taransay
The Interior Design Award: Madame Kate
The Exterior Design Award: Ester III
The Finest new yacht of the 2015 MYS: Silverfast
The MYS/RINA Award: Madame Kate
Following the presentation of the awards, we caught up with Espen Oeino, the exterior designer of Esther III. "It's great to have won," said Oeino. "Unfortunately the owner couldn't be here tonight for the awards, but I'm pleased she won and I'm sure the owner will be too."
The evening provided the perfect opportunity for guests to engage with the minds behind the projects before leaving in preparation for the start of the yacht show.
