Leading Australian superyacht builder Hanseatic Marine has rebranded as 'SilverYachts', with a new website and logo. Having now launched three yachts in their iconic and award-winning Silver series, the yard's rebrand is intended to capture and reflect the successes of the company to date. Built entirely in Australia, SilverYachts vessels, designed by Espen Oeino, are a testament to the professional talents of the company, boasting the highest level of performance, fuel efficiency, Northern European luxury craftsmanship and outfitting.

In a statement released by the yard, owner Guido Krass explained that: "the re-branding as SilverYachts is an exciting and strategic change that highlights and aligns our company image to our success with the ‘Silver Series’ of superyachts we have produced to date. Brand SilverYachts clarifies our product in the market, setting a clear course for the future as we continue to innovate and push the boundaries of style, performance, engineering and craftsmanship."

With the rebrand now officially announced, 2014 is promising to be a very exciting year for SilverYachts, with a busy order book. In the final year of construction is 77m SilverFast, due for launch Q1 2015. SilverFast follows the success of her predecessors 73.5m Silver [now Rabdan], 73.5m Silver Zwei [now Dragonfly] and 77m Smeralda. SilverFast blends the latest style, speed and performance, impressive long range cruising capabilities and a top speed anticipated at close to 30 knots. With a predicted range of 4,500 nautical miles at 18 knots cruising speed, SilverFast will reinforce the well proven fuel efficient credentials of the Silver Series, which is characterised by lightweight aluminium construction.

SilverYachts has also taken the opportunity to announce that work is now underway on their fifth superyacht project. 83m SilverLoft is the latest brainchild of Espen Oeino and SilverYachts’, based on their entirely new, most advanced hull and engineering platform to date. Extensive R&D, design refinement and tank testing has shown even further gains in the level of performance, sea keeping and fuel efficiency in the SilverYachts fleet. Keel laying of the project is set for summer 2014. For further specifications on this exciting new project, see issue 150 of The Superyacht Report, The Annual Report.
