UK, Bath. Gym Company Marine has released CAD blocks of its gym equipment to assist designers when forming the general arrangement for a new build or refit project.

Established in 2014, the new division of Gym Company Group provides design services and consultancy for gym spaces on yachts, private residences and hotels, and supplies a varied range of equipment. Each item supplied is customisable and suitable for the marine environment, with well-known brands such as LifeFitness, Cybex, Technogym, Schwinn and Gym80 forming part of its range. The company’s latest announcement makes it easier and more cost effective for studios to create visuals for a gym space.

“We’ve already received positive responses from the likes of Hot Lab and Moore Yacht Design,” says director at Gym Company Marine, Edward Thomas. “The files are DWG blocks and include our best selling products, which designers can drop into their drawings. We also have a large library of 3D CAD visuals from our suppliers that designers can use upon request.”

Gym Company Marine’s team includes ex-yacht crew members and superyacht business experts with a good understanding of the functional implications of a gym on board and the restrictions that can impact the design of the space. Existing projects include a 55m Dutch yacht with brokerage houses and design studios expressing interest in the services offered by the Group.

“In cooperation with naval architects, interior designers and the rest of any build or refit team, we are able to put forward unique gym space solutions to best suit the owner's individual requirements,” says Thomas.
