Dörries Maritime Services to unveil new shipyard

Dörries Maritime Services is to launch a new shipyard, Dörries Yachts, for the turnkey construction of superyachts. SuperyachtNews.com can exclusively reveal that the German management company will extend its offering to engineering and shipbuilding, based at its recently acquired site in Bremen.
Speaking to SuperyachtNews.com Crisitan Schwarzälder, who will play an integral part of the new Dörries Yachts team, said “the new brand is a shipyard”. “It is a shipbuilding facility dedicated to constructing yachts under the new brand name.”
Although SuperyachtNews.com is unable to reveal how Dörries Maritime Services will operate within this context, Schwarzwälder likened the new entity’s provision to that of current established shipyards. “Dörries Yachts will be the yachtbuilding entity, so there are no obligations to retain the management services”, he said.
The brand will officially be launched at a special press conference on the morning of Friday 27 September at the Yacht Club de Monaco, as part of the Monaco Yacht Show. The event will also allow Dörries Maritime Services to present its latest 85m concept, which is a development of 82m M/Y Graceful, which affords any prospective owner ”about a year of time savings on the engineering”, Schwarzwälder explained.
