Compositeworks has added a 10 person-strong technical office to its current structure in order to account for an increase in complex refit projects.…

Compositeworks, the refit specialist based in the South of France, has announced the creation of a new technical office as a result of an ever increasing number of complex refit projects. The new team comprises of 10 members and principally covers naval architecture, engineering, drawings & scanning, coatings and reporting, new members will be required throughout all project phases, from quotation to delivery.

The 10 strong team will be headed up and developed under the guidance of Jean-Michel Arnaud, who has moved position from within Compositeworks. The department will comprise of a naval architect, with over 20 years of experience in new build design, supported by three fulltime draughtsmen. This section of the team will also be responsible for 3D scanning and file manipulations.

“I’m very honoured to have been given the opportunity to steer this new department which is made up of a team of such experienced professionals,” says Arnaud. “It is our belief that clients will strongly benefit from a greater technical approach to their refits. They can for example expect greater accuracy at the quotation stage of their project and a reduction in warranty exposure by reducing technical risks on important works.”

The technical engineering team have a combined experience of over 100 years, two of Compositeworks existing staff are joined by two further team members. The team is completed by Compositeworks coatings supervisor and the reporting administrator.

“We are constantly striving to improve our services and the creation of this department will undoubtedly enhance the positive experience of our clients,” finishes Arnaud.
