The venture, which comes after a previous announcement about their partnership in the Middle East at the Dubai Boat Show, will see the companies' offerings expand to the Asian region. This expansion will see CMF open its third set of offices in Hong Kong in 2014, adding to those already in the UK and Palma de Mallorca. The joint venture will be headed up by Charles Massey who, with 15 years' experience in the boat shipping sector, will be representing both companies, with a view to enable closer contacts with new clients throughout Asia and provide a more hands-on service.
Massey commented: "I am looking forward to getting set up in Asia. Both [companies] have been doing regular business in the region [and] we can now consolidate our efforts and expand the scope of our services. We know that the market is ready for a company which is highly focused [on] customer service and competitive pricing. With Cigisped shipping many Italian brands and Complete Marine Freight shipping many European brands and … UK brands into the Far East, I believe local presence will help us to provide the seamless services we offer."
Both CMF and Cigisped will be exhibiting, with representatives from both companies, at this year's Singapore Yacht Show and looking to show clients how the newly announced partnership will enhance the companies' existing offerings.
