Arcadia Yachts announces strong sales on larger models

This unique Italian shipyard has enjoyed tremendous success with its 85 and 115, and now looks to cement its postition with the new 100.…

On board the immaculate Arcadia 85 at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Ugo Pellegrino, President and CEO of Arcadia Yachts, announced significant activity at the Italian yard.

Starting with news on the new Arcadia 100, Pellegrino said, “The first Arcadia 100 belongs to an Italian owner and will remain in Italy.” The 100 is currently in build alongside hull 11 of the Arcadia 85 and hull five of the flagship Arcadia 115, together with the 58ft Sherpa series that launched the brand. All of which suggests that the yard is both enjoying significant interest from buyers and is in a strong financial position to build on spec – the 100 was in build before the buyer was found.

Solar technology and clean mobility are at the center of Arcadia Yacht’s agenda. The Arcadia 85 has 40 square meters of photovoltaic panels, composed of hundreds of high performance solar cells. The salon has floor to ceiling double glazed windows, the well-protected aft-deck is an impressive 8.5 metres long and there is a harmonious and contemporary blend between indoor and outdoor areas. These and other innovative features from the Arcadia 85 are represented in the design model of the Arcadia 100.

The first 100 is due for launch before the end of June 2016. The hull, main deck and superstructure have been completed, assembled and positioned in the outfitting shed. It will feature five cabins, with the owner’s suite forward on the main deck opening directly onto a private sun deck at on the bow.

“Our new yacht owners will contribute to spread the presence of our brand worldwide. Arcadia touches base with unexplored waters like Peru and the Middle East. I believe it’s a very important achievement for a niche product.”
And, alluding to Arcadia’s unique styling and design culture, Pellegrino went on, “Our concepts require time to be accepted. We knew from the very beginning, and we still experience it, that there are no 'in-betweens' with our yachts. I truly did not expect such an extensive territorial coverage in such a short time.”

Arcadia also has concepts in place for a 135, 155 and 180.
