Aganlar Boatyard of Bodrum, Turkey has appointed Marine Trade Centre to implement an international on and off-line PR and marketing campaign to promote it's soon-to-be-completed shipyard extension. The purpose of the campaign will be to highlight the unique new facilities and skills which Aganlar is bringing to the superyacht refit market in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Announcing the appointment Erdem Agan, one of the owners of Aganlar, commented: “We have been building and re-fitting wooden and now aluminium yachts for almost 50 years so we have a fantastic pool of talented boat builders, designers and engineers here in Bodrum. We are investing €5 million in our new facilities to enable us to compete with the best yards in Europe but with the distinct advantage of a lower labour cost base. We are delighted to be working with Marine Trade Centre who will help us to get this message out to superyacht owners, managers, captains and designers.”

Speaking for Marine Trade Centre, Jonathan Bowker said: “Aganlar is a first rate boatyard with an excellent reputation and I am sure that the market will soon discover it to be a credible and cost-effective centre for the refit and new build of yachts up to 55 metres. We are very pleased to be helping Erdem and his team to spread the message.”

Aganlar boatyard will shortly take delivery of the largest travel lift in the Eastern Mediterranean with a capacity of 11.5 metre beam, approximately 52 metre length and 450 tonnes displacement.
