Industry figure John Joseph Ciullo passes away

On 29 September John Joseph Ciullo, 54, yacht captain and longstanding member of the superyacht community, passed away. Ciullo’s career in the marine industry spanned positions running both sailing yachts and motoryachts, comptroller of The Sacks Group, yacht broker and projects manager at International Yacht Collection and Platinum Yachts, and manager at International Yacht Register.
An avid surfer, accomplished scuba diver, racquetball player of repute, and commercial pilot, he is survived by Elena Shalaeva, siblings Dawn and David, and his father, John V Ciullo.
A memorial service will be held this weekend on 6 October at Calvary Chapel, Fort Lauderdale, followed by a gathering at another location in the town. IYC's Bob Saxon can provide more details on the Saturday’s events.
