Camper & Nicholsons Marinas to operate new 'world class' Italian marina

Camper & Nicholsons Marinas (CNM), has been appointed by Gruppo Mirabella SG, a large scale Italian construction company involved in real estate, resort development and management, to operate a new marina in southern Italy.
Marina di Pinetamare will be a 1,200 berth marina with 36 berths for superyachts. Construction is expected to start early 2013 with a build programme of approximately three years, and an investment of €160m.
Its location 45km north west of Naples on the Domitia Coast bodes well for its success. As a destination, it has the bonuses of being renowned for scenic beauty and historical architecture with Pompeii, Vesuvius and UNESCO listed sites in the area. It has excellent cruising grounds with islands Ischia, Capri, Sardinia and Sicily nearby.
Domitia Coast is also scheduled for a major tourism development project to transform it into a sophisticated ‘leisure playground’. It will have an emphasis on golf with four 18-hole golf courses in addition to the new marina as well as multiple resorts.
CNM will assume full operation and marina management of the 756,500m2 site, following work on the design, technical, and marketing elements of the project between now and 2013. When completed it will sit alongside CNM's other luxury marinas as a full service marina with two refueling pontoons, a helipad, fully serviced boatyard, extensive undercover dry stack and other additional services amongst its attributes. In the plans are also bars, restaurants and retail areas.
