New CEO at Danish Yachts

Patrik von Sydow has been appointed as the new CEO for Danish Yachts. Von Sydow is a Swedish national and comes with a director level background comprising blue chip companies and top end global companies in the marine industry.
Commenting on the appointment he said, "this is a rare opportunity to come along, to direct and manage an exceptional team of highly skilled people in the commercial marine and superyacht industries. I am delighted with this new position and am looking forward to working closely with both sectors of the industry and flying the flag for the Danish marine industry on the world stage."
Danish Yachts has a diverse portfolio including high speed superyachts, classic builds and a fleet of Holm Class military vessels for the Danish Navy. Notable recent launches include 38 metre Espen Øino designed Shooting Star which lived up to her name reaching over 50 knots in speed. The yard also builds a range inspired by the J Class era including Ranger built in a composite of high tensile and grade A steel and taken from the same lines as the original class from 1937.
In addition to a new CEO, Danish Yachts has also strengthened its Board, and is pleased to announce a new Board Member, Niels Bergh-Hansen a former Executive Vice President for Denmark’s largest power producer, DONG Energy.
Danish Yachts is situated at the northern tip of Denmark in Skagen, in a unique location with a state-of-the-art purpose built facility.
