Dominion Marine Technical Services expands team

Comments
Due to the increasing demand for Dominion Marine Technical Services’ Mini-ISM system, the company, which is a subsidiary of Dominion Marine Corporate Services Ltd, has recently expanded their staff.
As specified in the UK MCA Large Commercial Yacht Code (LY2), it is required that all Red Ensign-flying commercial vessels over 24m and under 500GT have a mini-ISM system installed. Dominion has designed a mini-ISM system in full compliance with the requirements of Section 30.2 and Annex 2 of LY2. The system establishes lines of communication both on board and ship to shore. It is owned and managed by the yacht and evolves with the vessel, whilst being fully supported by a team of experienced and qualified ISM lead auditors.
According to Chris Allix, director and founder of Dominion, the company’s client base is increasingly rooted within the category for which a mini-ISM system is a requisite, thus resulting in an escalating trade in the systems, and, consequently, greater demands on Dominion’s staff.
The additional team members have a maritime background, as both master mariners and chief engineer officers. Since coming ashore they have had experience in the installation of both full and mini-ISM systems on board some of the world’s most prestigious superyachts.
“The expansion of the technical services team means that we can continue to deliver the high standard of service we are known for”, said Allix. “The team is on hand 24/7 to provide support for all technical management issues and to assist in any emergency response situations”.
