Rolling Stock to act as MedAire's Balearic agent

Rolling Stock has become the acting agent for international SOS company, MedAire in and around the Balearic Islands. The refit and repair specialist, based in Palma, will offer all of MedAire’s services, including maritime medical consultations, crew medical training, maritime security advice and medical kits.

Grant Jeffery, MedAire CEO, said of the partnership: “From new build to refit, and everything in between, MedAire’s medical and security services help yacht owners and crew mitigate their risk exposure by preparing them to live and work at sea. We put our trust in Rolling Stock and know that yacht management companies, builders, owners and crew do so, too.”

“Each year, we review our MedLink data about kit usage,” said Paulo M. Alves, MD, MSc, and MedAire’s vice president of maritime health. “We look at which items are used to treat onboard ailments and how often refills of certain medications and supplies are requested. We also track emergency trends—medical events happening from year to year—at sea and ashore. This knowledge helps us improve our training courses, our medical consults and our custom medical kits.”
