Overmarine acquire Baglietto
By MA
Comments
Iconic Italian brand Baglietto, whose future was uncertain until just a few days ago, will be acquired by Effebi-Overmarine, the Viareggio-based group that produces the Mangusta range of performance yachts. The settlement, reported by the Italian financial newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore on September 23th, was announced by administrator Giuseppe Galantini, who was brought in when Baglietto was faced with insolvency. The decision, however, will still have to pass with the board of creditors due to meet on October 26th. In the meantime, Giuseppe Balducci, owner of Effebi-Overmarine, says that the Baglietto brand will be exhibiting at the Genoa Boat Show that starts October 2nd.
